Urban Greening
Between 2017 and 2024, Clean & Green Pomona partnered with Pomona Unified School District and the City of Pomona to plant nearly 1,500 trees on public lands, substantially increasing the city’s urban forest. Most of this planting was done by community volunteers we trained and supported.

In addition to planting trees, we have worked to provide resources for the community, aimed at improving urban greening practice and policy in Pomona. These resources include:
Pomona Trees – The web site celebrating our urban forest.
This web site provides a variety of resources, including an overview of urban forest benefits, maintenance and planting tips, a index of common street trees in the city, and a searchable database that will help you find the tree designated for your street.
